Everything you need to know about hosting a Tom Sox player this summer.
Host families provide players with a private bedroom and access to a bathroom, kitchen, and laundry facilities. Providing a list of house rules is highly encouraged to ensure everyone is comfortable.
Players should have a key, garage door opener, or entry code to come and go as needed based on their practice and game schedule.
Host families should provide parking for one or two vehicles. We strongly encourage carpooling among players to reduce the number of vehicles at each home.
Important: Transportation to and from games, practices, or team events is not provided by host families. Players coordinate their own transportation.
We encourage host families to share meals with players when possible. Snacks and breakfast foods are always appreciated but not required.
Many families enjoy having players join for dinner, but it's not mandatory—players understand that host families have their own schedules and commitments.
Players deeply appreciate host families attending games to support them. Home games are played at CHO Airport Field at Charlottesville High School.
Your free season pass provides admission and parking to all regular season home games. Your presence means the world to the players!
Game Schedule: Games can be as frequent as six nights per week. Players will be gone most afternoons and evenings, and may return home very late at night after away games.
Player Passion: Remember, baseball is their passion. There will be both great days and tough days. Your support during the challenging moments can make all the difference.
Roster Changes: We cannot guarantee a player will stay with you for the entire season. Injuries, pitch count limits, performance issues, or other obligations may result in a player leaving during the summer. With your permission, players may be replaced.
